Did it take a vacation
without me,
jetting off to some
sunny shore
with new luggage
and a bottle of
sunscreen?
Is it playing hooky
with a fishing rod
and brown bag lunch
down by the pond?
Is it under
the couch cushions
with absolutely
everything else?
How about
the fridge?
(My phone’s been there
before.)
Or tucked into the
top dresser drawer
with the socks?
