tell me
when you went to the ocean
what did you let her
erase
from your sands?
i scratched
my fears
into glass grains
and fed them
to her fury
i spread
my inheritance of shame
across ravaged shores
and let her
swallow it jagged
i carved
my nevers
out of lost coastlines
and watched her
feast
tell me…
