i sang the songs
muddied melody
mixed with crystalline
desire
the lust to wander
i am learning
is a wanting
from the soles
of the soul
to be at home
within
funny
how we fight it
sub out a salacity
for a place we’ve never been
(and i think we’ll never find)
and i wonder
what it would be like
if we believed
we could
be at home
now
here
in ourselves
